The gig is up! Now I can go back to being a traveling salesman for a couple of months.
I mean, damn! This is a long season and I'm glad it's over.
That being said, the Monday night finale was ....interesting. I can't think of another two guys I'd rather spend 16 laps yelling at than Mark and Christian! We had a good time and the result was predictable.
The worst kept secret in Oregon racing......I CAN'T SPRINT MY WAY OUT OF A PAPER BAG! Everyone knows it. So my breakaway companions let me have those pesky hot spot sprints knowing full well that the big juicy prize lay in wait for the night's fastest fast twitch demon with oversized hams.
Do those guys use me? Sure. Do I mind? Not really. I'm secure in my ability to hold a steady tempo in a break. Not that I wouldn't mind a better sprint.
Like Ren Hoek, I need to pray for some Massive Pectoral Muscles!!!!!!!!!
But most of all...thanks to those that put on Monday Night!!!! That is an excellent race, race series and race venue.
